These are standard D&D races that I don't have in my campaign setting, and some of the reasons for that. I have limited the races to try and keep the world simpler. Also, I think a lot of the add on races, monsters and such are mostly a way to sell books instead of really adding to the game.
I don't have a lot of use for halflings (aka hobbits). It seems to be a hold over from Tolkien instead of race from actual mythology.
