(Live audio to come)

September, October 2002 Updates:

I participated in my very last Rheinfest on the Missisippi. This year I was music director, singer, and pianist for a small ensemble of singers. We performed at the gala fundraiser and the actual Fest.
We were well received, but both performance "halls" were unsuitable. The acoustics were not acceptable, so I was not happy with the results myself. Finally, I don't think our classical program, eventhough light, makes much sense in this casual beer tent athmosphere, so I decided to discontinue my support of the Rheinfest.

Next I conducted the musical  Fiddler on the Roof (above: see me addressing the audience)
for seven performances in St. Francis, Minnesota.
The producer was Playhouse 15. A big challenge that turned into a great success. We had a very good turnout as well. "Fiddler" is one of my top five favorites anyway, so I'm glad for the happy ending...

Annual Rheinfest on the Mississippi
Saturday, September 8, 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Harriet Island, Downtown St. Paul, MN (more info)

At noon, I'll be singing four national anthems, accompanied by the Minnesota State Band.
At 4:00 pm I'll be joining five other soloists and the 50-piece Kenwood Chamber Orchestra.
We'll be performing light Austrian opera and operetta tunes.

Update (September 9):
We weathered the outdoors again and the audience loved especially the vocals!

My Summer Broadway Musical

Opening night: Thursday, August 2, 7:00 pm
Other performances: August 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 at 7:00 pm

Como Lakeside Pavillion
at Lexington Ave, St. Paul, MN

Ticket Info: (651) 695 3706

I'm the music director/conductor.
This is a comedy about the 50's. Besides famous songs like "Put on a happy face," the music is a fun variety of many memorable tunes. You will want to see the show more than once! We have an enthusiastic cast of over 50 people from 9 to 60, and a 13-piece orchestra!

Update (August 12):
We had a wonderful run and the audience of over 3000 (!) had only high praise. Many DID come back for more!

Theatre of the Heart on Wednesday, February 14, 7:00 pm
at the Olympic Room, County Road C & Lexington, Roseville MN (map)

This Benefit Gala for the Roseville Arts Council
will bring together many artists from the Twin Cities area.
I will sing Love Duets with soprano Margaret Houlton.

Papageno & Papagena at the benefit!
Update (February 18):
We had a great turnout; the audience
thoroughly enjoyed the variety of the program and the food ;o)

In the picture you can see Margaret and me feathered (but not tared).

6th Annual Schubert Hauskonzert on Sunday, January 28, 6:00pm
at the University Club, 420 Summit Street, St. Paul MN (map)

This concert in the 200-year-old tradition of the "Schubertiaden"
takes place in another new beautiful venue. I will sing art songs.
Additional performers include a violinist from Austria and the famous poet & musician Bill Holm.

Update (January 29):
The concert was well received by a big audience (inspite Superbowl Sunday).
We'll repeat the concert on January 31 in Marshall, MN, at Southwest University.
