The Days Fest Staff
The
ticketed events are a lot of fun and are a great way to spend
some quality, ''up-close'' time with the stars.
At each ticketed event you will receive an 8 x 10 photo of
the stars featured at that event.
In
additon you will receive a small gift as a momento of the
Days Fest.
At
Friday's reception/play hors d'oeuvres will be served. Saturday
evening we will serve a buffet dinner and Sunday morning a
brunch. We've got some taste tempting food lined up for you!
Each
event features Q&A with the stars and autograph time (limited
to one autograph per star). Have your camera with you for
the Days Fest staff to take your photo with the stars.
Ticketed
events are limited attendance. Please purchase now to avoid
the sell out!
FAQs:
Does
anyone ever answer the festival phone line? I always get the
answering machine.
In addition to volunteering for the Days Fest, all of the
board members work full time jobs. The phone line (618-548-0878)
rings at the festival chairman's house. Feel free to call
and leave a brief message. The best way to receive a reply
to your answer (or to be added to the mailing list) is by
E-mailing the Days Fest staff. Messages will be checked twice
a day and answered as soon as possible.
How
do the autograph line tickets work?
At the beginning of the festival each day (10 a.m. Saturday
and 11 a.m. Sunday) a limited number of tickets for autographs
will be handed out. The line ticket makes you eligible to
get an autograph during the autograph session. The line for
autographs often starts gathering several hours before the
tickets are passed out. Approximately one hour will be set
aside for each autograph session. One autograph per person........no
exceptions, please. The line will be moved as quickly as possible
so as many people as possible can get an autograph. If you
don't get a line ticket, you can get at the end of the autograph
line if you'd like. If the line moves quickly enough, and
if time allows, more people will be allowed to go through
the line.
How
can I purchase tickets for the ticketed events?
Tickets can be purchased by returning your order form with
payment. We accept checks, money orders, Master Card or Visa.
You may also order tickets over the phone (618-548-0878) or
by E-mail with Master Card or Visa. Orders will also be accepted
through the Days Fest mailing address: days_fest@hotmail.com.
Payment is required at the time of the order. A limited number
of tickets will be sold to each event.
Will
I get to meet the stars at the free outdoor festival?
The featured stars will each appear on stage for Q&A.
If you have a question you would like to ask, please approach
the roped off area near the stage. A Days Fest representative
will be there to assist you. Questions will be screened to
determine suitability and to avoid repetition. The stars will
also appear on stage to assist with the auction.
What
is the look-alike contest?
Do you look like one of the Days stars? Or can you dress in
a costume to look like a Days star? One year we had an excellent
Bo look-alike. We've also had a great Nancy, Victor, ''Susan",
Alice , Austin, "Swamp Girl", and "Princess
Gina". Use your imagination and have fun with it!
Where
is the festival grounds?
The free festival takes place on the Marion County Courthouse
lawn at the intersection of Hwy 50 and Hwy 37 (Broadway and
Main). Turn East when you exit I-57 and go approx. 1-2 miles
to the center of town. You can't miss it!
When
will I receive my ticket to the ticketed events?
In late August or early September the ticketed people will
receive a letter giving them the necessary details for the
event (time, location, map, dress code, etc.) . We will be
using a ticketless system again. Your name will be on a list
at the door when you arrive. Be prepared to show ID if asked.
You will be notified if you place an order and the tickets
are sold out.
Are
pictures/videos allowed at the outdoor festival and at the
ticketed events?

Where
does the outdoor festival take place? Where is the Courthouse
located?
The outdoor festival takes place around the courthouse square
in downtown Salem. The courthouse is located at the intersection
of Hwy. 50 and Hwy 37 (Main and Broadway). Turn left onto
Hwy. 50 when you exit I-57. Go directly East on Hwy 50 (West
Main) to the center of town (approx. 2 miles).
Are
the motels within walking distance of the festival?
Most of the motels are 1-2 miles from the festival grounds

there a taxi in Salem?
