	The band... Formed in 2004, Salute The Fallen became one of a legion of many bands to circulate the north east metal scene with the lineup of Stewart Hardy on lead guitar, Richard West on bass, Andrew Fletcher on drums, Jonathan Carlin on vocal and Michael Derbyshire on rhythm guitar. By the beginning of 2007 Michael chose to leave the band because of not having enough spare time to continue playing with us. A new guitarist was soon found in the name of Daniel Hardy, another old school friend of the band. With new guitarist in toe it was next decided on a new band name and a fresh start... Hence...DOWNSEND...
