This
was our first ever cup win and very well deserved. Nick
played the first half in goal ( because Lisa got lost on
the way to ground ! ), and then scored a wonderful 2nd half
hat-trick . Keifer scored a much wanted and earned goal
from defence, followed by a great goal by Ian - who seemed
to be everywhere on the pitch at once. A determined challenge
on the keeper earned Charlie another goal to make this a
convincing win which could have been double the 6 - 0 ,
with the amount of chances and possession we had.

Barnes
eagles are a good defensive team that beat us twice easily
last year. We started the first half well, with lots of
possession and a wonder goal by our right back, Chris Desborough
from just outside of the box. Barnes replied quickly and
ended the first half 2 - 1 up. After a quiet word at half
time and two substitutions we started the second half in
a completely different mood. Within the first ten minutes
we were winning 4 - 2 with goals from Charlie Johnston -
Schoon, Tommy Farr, Keifer Andrews and Ian Bowden scored
again to make it 5 - 2 . Barnes fought back well and Alfee
Burridge kept a clean sheet in the second half with some
brilliant saves. The whole team were playing great passing
football and Nick Causer scored a late goal to make it an
impressive 6 - 2 victory. Tom Hinkley was captain and had
a great game against a flag happy linesman doing everything
right but, finding the back of the net.

Another
great win away from home (undefeated away all season),
Kew park were playing much better than there league position
and gave us a bit of a shock with a strong tackling game.
A great individual goal by Sam Mellett from 20 yards was
well deserved after nearly all of the possession. Kew
drew level quickly, but then Ian Bowden beat
their defence to put us 2 - 1 up at half time.Jack Herron
came on at half time for Joe Bielecki in the centre of
defence having a great game with some crucial challenges.
Charlie Johnston - Schoon, bundled in a great goal from
2 yards to make it 3 - 1. They replied straight away to
make it 3 - 2, then Keifer Andrews headed home a great
goal. Soon after Sam Mellett put in a corner for Tommy
Farr (captain) to score another great header to make it
5 - 2. Three goals up and suddenly everyone wanted to
score! We left gaps in the midfield and they scored 2
goals and could have had more. Ian Bowden scored his second
of the match with another brilliant header from a Sam
Mellett corner to make it 6 - 4. This was a tougher match
than expected and we let in 4 goals against a team that
have only scored 10 goals in their previous 7 games.
As
a team we have now turned a corner and are playing good
football every week lets hope we can do the business in
the cup next week - I 'am sure we can!!!!

This
was an extremely well earned place in the semi final of
the Invitation Cup. The whole of the team battled hard
for this win after going 0 - 1 down in the first half
to a very suspect penalty decision that we really should
not talk about. Michael Neves got the equaliser with a
great header early in the second half. We were the stronger
team for most of the second half but the game was 1 -
1 after 70 minutes. Samba carried on strong in extra time
going 2 - 1 up early in the first period with another
headed goal this time from Tommy Farr. This was a fantastic
TEAM performance played with a lot of spirit, now looking
forward to Raynes Park in the semi on Feb 27th.

Defiantly
a slow start after the Christmas break with 0 - 0 at half
time although we did dominate play. An excellent performance
by all 3 subs saw the pace change in the second half with
an early goal by Michael Neves. Kestrals equalised twice
in quick succession to make it 2 - 2 but we seemed to
change up a gear again in the second half showing a lot
of stamina to finish a deserved 7 - 2 winners.

Raynes
Park are a very good team (I guess that's why they are
top of the table) but on this day we were the better team.
The game was level for a long period and then we went
1 -0 up when Ian Bowden scored (as usual). They came back
straight away and the game turned into a battle as we
went in 2 -1 down at half time. Nick Causer replied with
a goal to make it 2 -2 early in the second half and we
dominated for a long time but we went 3 - 2 down half
way through the 2nd half. After some good pressure we
got an own goal which was forced by 3 of our players on
a single defender. This was a fantastic team performance
and was the hardest point we have earned ever - well done
everyone !!!!!!!!

This
was our 10th game unbeaten and the team seem to be getting
stronger with every game played. With an excellent start
to the match, our first half hatrick came from Ian Bowden
and goals from Nick Causer and Michael Neves saw us 6
- 0 up at half time. Feltham started well in the 2nd half
and scored quickly which was followed by good spell which
saw us defending well and then against the run of play
Charlie Johnston - Schoon scored to make it 7 - 1 and
we started to play some great football. They replied with
a goal but we were now the stronger side. Nick Causer
completed his hatrick and another great goal from Sam
Mellett saw us it finish 9 - 2 - a scoreline that reflected
our performance! Tom Hinkley played out of place in defence
but had a great game ( although he didn't agree), Jack
Herron also did well in midfield and Keifer Andrews is
enjoying life further up the pitch.
WELL
DONE TO ALL SAMBA UNDER 12'S, LETS KEEP WORKING HARD AND
ENJOYING OUR FOOTBALL !

This
was a very professional team effort today with everybody
on the pitch doing a great job and playing their position's
with discipline - which made the difference .The 1st of
2 goals from Ian Bowden came mid way through the 1st half
, thanks to our teams strong performance and some good
goal keeping from Alfee Burridge saw us 1 - 0 up at half
time. Charlie Johnston - Schoon came off (after a great
1st half performance) and was replaced by Tom Hinkley,
who scored a much needed goal to put us 3 - 0 up. There
was a real captain's performance by Keifer Andrews in
centre of defence along side Jack Coy, who was un - passable!
Josh Bamber fought and won nearly everything on the right
and Nick Causer had another great game, on the left wing
today (I like to keep him guessing on his position!) -
we won't mention the penalty! Another goal from Michael
Neves and Tommy Farr saw us go 5 - 0 up with a superb
2nd half, but Alfee was finally beaten to make it another
fantastic away victory at 5 - 1. Next week only Ashford
stand between us being unbeaten away all season.

This
match was played under some terrible winds blowing across
the pitch, which didn't seem to help either team. We took
the lead with another goal by Ian Bowden and had all the
possession , playing some fantastic football apart from
some of the finishing. On the rare occasion Ashford were
in our half they got an equaliser before half time. We
continued to dominate but Ashford took the lead with a
20 yard volley, which turned out to be the winner for
them. Despite the result this was another solid performance
from the team, playing good football - just unable to
beat the keeper! Another a great captain's performance
from Keifer Andrews in left mid and Josh Bamber was superb
on the right. The Samba team will learn from this and still
have a lot to play for.

A
convincing performance against a weakened Kew side with
only 10 men. Jack Herron scored his first goal of the
season with Ian Bowden in great form getting 4. Alfee
Burridge made several great saves to keep a clean sheet,
but this was a great team effort today. 2 goals each from
Charlie Johnston - Schoon , Sam Mellett and Nick Causer(dodgy
own goal) and 1 from Kiefer Andrews made it 12 - 0 and
we still managed to hit the cross bar twice! I have to
say a big well done to everyone, now with 1 game in the
league left against AC Fulham at home, if we win we finish
2nd . COME ON SAMBA !!!!!
