Start of Buffy season 6
THE HISTORY OF ANGEL, PART 3 THE HISTORY OF ANGEL, PART 1 Four Episodes, Two Wheels
The actor goes on to say that he is hoping his Giles spin-off series for the BBC will be set in the West County, partly because the area is steeped in history, but mainly because, "it’s where I live." Tony is also hoping to get some new wheels for the show - a bicycle. This follows a failed attempt to persuade Joss Whedon to give Giles a motorcycle and sidecar following the departure of his beloved Citroen in season four. Apparently, Tony had visions of roaring through the streets of Sunnydale with Buffy - Wallace and Grommet style.
James Marsters, Michelle Trachtenberg (Dawn in season five)and Andy Hallett (the Host from Angel) will team up for The Enforcers this summer, an independent movie about a group of young mobsters. Danny (Jonathan) Strong will star alongside The Blair Witch Project’s Heather Donahue in New Suit, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The film is a comedy about an unsuccessful Hollywood writer who suddenly finds all the major studios fighting over his latest script. According to the Los Angels Times, Joss Whedon is credited as one of six writers responsible for scripting the latest Disney animated adventure - Atlantis: The Lost Empire. Finally, Mercedes McNab (Harmony) has been working with an animatronic alien for the TV movie Beer Money. Speaking to TV Guide Online, she revealed, "You'd be trying to have a conversation with the alien, and you'd hear all the motors inside the suit making the eyes and the mouth move. I'd never had to deal with that before - on Buffy, all the monsters are real people." Shannen Won’t Be Charming Buffy Former Beverly Hills 90210 star Shannen Doherty, who recently departed the WB’s other hit fantasy show Charmed, will not be playing a recurring character in Buffy next season. Rumours began circulating recently that Buffy’s new home, the American UPN network, were interested in poaching the popular actress to boost ratings further.
James Marsters Is Guest-Starring On “Andromeda” “Buffy’s” sixth year has yet to begin shooting, and “Andromeda” will be shooting Marsters’ episode this week, even though it won’t air until November sweeps. Marsters is playing the Nietzschean archduke Charlemagne Bolivar, a decadent, foppish yet formidably intelligent and deadly nobleman (we’re told you should think Tim Roth's character in Rob Roy).!! Spike in Space Fans disappointed at the absence of James Marsters at Saturday's Wolves of Fenric event in Wolverhampton may be wondering what kept the actor away. It turns out that James had to guest star in an episode of the science fiction series Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda, currently filming in America. He plays Charlemagne Bolivar, the archduke of a royal family of Nietzscheans in the episode Into the Labyrinth. According to the official Andromeda web site, the character is described as "foppish yet fearsomely intelligent and lethal. Charlemagne may be Captain Hunt (ex-Hercules Kevin Sorbo) and company's deadliest enemy... or most valuable ally." Fans attending the Wolverhampton event were instead treated to appearances by Angel's J. August Richards and Christian Kane, who kindly stepped in at the last minute. According to the event's organisers, James feels bad that he may have disappointed some of his fans and has agreed to a couple of replacement dates on the evenings of June 18th (Birmingham) and June 19th (Glasgow) to give people another chance to see him. James is, of course, one of the many guests attending the Nocturnal N3K event at Heathrow this weekend. Joss Whedon (creator) James Marsters (Spike), Andy Hallett (The Host), George Hertzberg (Adam), Todd McIntosh (Emmy-winning Make-Up Artist for Buffy) David DeLeon (Make-Up Artist for Buffy and Angel), Dayne Johnson (Make-Up Artist for Angel) and Christopher Golden (author) will all be attending. Thanks to James Bugle.
