It is good tea for calming the nerves,
settling the stomach, easing cramps and good for the bladder.

Infuse one teaspoon dried leaves
in 1 cup boiling water and drink hot
for diaphoretic effect
in colds and flu or cool for nervine effect.
Three yo four cups daily.

Crush leaves and sniff to raise the spirits.

Make a poultice of basil leaves for insect and scorpion stings.
Good hair rinse for brunettes.
