The young Barbarian strode over confidently, climbed onto the table, and held up his hands for silence. Miraculously, it worked and the group fell reasonably quiet. He announced in a booming voice, attempting to sound menacing, "I would like to dedicate this next song to the first person we met when we got to the Realm."
Uni bleated in joy, and Bobby shook his head, his voice reverting to normal. "I mean the second person we met. Sorry Uni. Forgot you were first." He then started singing with the music, attempting to make his voice deep and evil.
People didn’t seem all too worried that the song being sung was about someone evil. They merely cheered and started thumping to the beat, enjoying the impromptu party all the more. Uni settled, watching her human intently, accepting that she certainly didn’t want this song dedicated to her, so it was fine it had been switched to Venger for a dedication.
Sheila shuddered and moved towards the juke box, intent on finding a nice, sweet song to dedicate next. She didn’t like the direction Bobby had taken this at all.
Bobby, ignoring his sister, in fact, most likely not even aware of her movements, started striding around the table. He had the walk, the confidence, the supercilious command down pat, and people laughed to see the small boy imitating the most feared being in the lands.
Bobby had come to where Eric leaned haughtily on the table, grinning. The Cavalier ignored the Barbarian, until the boy used the lines of the song to his advantage, kicking at Eric’s arm as he continued.
Triumphantly, Bobby thrust his hands on his hips, feet spread, glaring down at the crowds.
Amid cheers, whistles, and catcalls, Bobby jumped from the make-shift stage and wrapped his arms around a bleating unicorn. He stroked her head affectionately, once more the caring little boy. Presto clumsily thumped his friend on the back as Eric gave him a grudging smile.
Turning as a slow song’s sweet strains filled the air, Sheila walked over to the table where all eyes rested. She cleared her throat, stepped up onto a bench, and turned to face the crowd. She could face the person she was singing for, but was too nervous to do such a blatant thing.
