SDUA members donate to Salvation Army
12/12/2008 - The members of the San Diego Ultralight Association pitched in and donated
$230 to aid the homeless. One of our members reminded us of how privileged we are and
at his suggestion we took up a collection. The money was sent to the Salvation Army by the SDUA Treasurer to support the Salvation Army's work with the homeless in San Diego.

John Nichol's Field survives fires [Special News Archive Item]
11/04/2007 - The October wildfires in Southern California burned right up to the home of
SDUA, John Nichol's Field. Thanks to Mother Nature and two of our dedicated members, all hangars and planes survived. Kevin Casson and Denny Walker risked their safety and
spent the entire night patrolling the field ensuring the buildings and planes were safe from
the devastating fires that came up to the field. All Nichol's Field tenants are grateful for their deeds.
