Engagement

Roy proposed on the Valentine's day of 2003. Roy took me to the place where I saw him for the first time and asked me to marry him. He didn't even know me back then though. :) This is how the story goes.

It was the first day of school (University of Waterloo) and It was a very bright day. Me and my parents packed all my belongings to our car and drove to Waterloo. It was the first time being away from home and I was thinking about a lot of stuffs on the way to school residence. One of the things I thought about was that I won't be able to find a cute boy to date from the school full of geeks.

Our car was just at the corner of university main entrance and we saw a car accident at the entrance. I spotted a real cute boy who was lying on the ground surrounded by many people and he just got up and walked away. The boy just looked like my favorite character of a cartoon and I hoped to find him one day.

The next day, I went to my froshy meeting for CS students and I met Roy. We walked around the campus. I didn't go to the froshy meeting after that day and haven't been close to Roy since then..

Later that term, Roy and I dated and we became boyfriend and girlfriend but the relationship wasn't that serious.

We've been dating for about 3 months and I had a chance to visit his Guelph home. I saw a car that was crashed and asked him what happened. He said his university career didn't start so good because he got into an accident on the first day of school. A memory came back to me and I asked him if he got into the accident at the entrance of the university and if he were lying on the ground. ... There he was. It was Roy all along. The dream boy walked out of my favorite cartoon book~

Our Story

We will be dating for 5 years, 6 months and 3 days by the time we have our wedding. We knew each other since September, 1998, the first day of university. We are both students of University of Waterloo, so we go to school together and take same courses. We basically stay together for 24/7. It's quiet a mystery how we don't get sick of each other if you think about how quiet people we are.

Now that we graduated from University, we still stay together 24/7. ^___^

Sandy was born in Seoul Korea. Sandy lived in Seoul all her life before comming to Canada in 1995. Her life was very interesting. She has learned to enjoy quiet and peaceful life after meeting Roy. She has 1 younger brother.

Roy was born in NewZealand. He lived in a small city of Guelph most of his life. He says his life wans't too interesting. There were much more things happened to him during university time than his entire life beforehand. He has 1 older brother and 1 older sister.
