New Year's Resolutions!
As
the new year rolls around, we all think about
resolutions. We announce, with sincere authority,
that we're gonna lose weight, give up our vices,
exercise more, etc., etc. We seldom look past
our own noses. To make matters worse, we
discover, on or about January 5th, that we have
no intention of carrying out our resolutions.
Soon afterwards, we've completely forgotten
about 'em, and wind up feeling bad when the
new year rolls around again.
Instead,
then, why not look outwardly? What
can we do to make someone ELSE feel better?
Give
of
yourself!
Personally,
I will be "adopting" an elderly
resident of the local nursing home. As much
as I look forward to sharing my time with
him/her, I equally look forward to the
memories and wisdom that might be
shared in return!
