KOLKATA PROJECT

Sansaptak has inscribed a signature of its own kind in the arena of Bangla Theatre. A landmark in the history of Delhi-Nibashi Bengali, Sansaptak has been individually hosting festivals of plays in Kolkata, popularly known as the Mecca of Bangla Theatre, besides invitations and participations in various Theatre Festivals since 2002. Our love and passion for theatre has driven us reach out to the wider Bengali Audience of Kolkata and fight for a greater cause of theatre. We are looking forward to host such theatre festivals in the future too.

In the year 2002, the Group was invited by Sanglaap and Ganga-Jamuna International Theatre Festival. In the year 2003, Sansaptak performed Hanyaman, two mega-productions namely Dakshinapath and Jagor on 4th, 5th & 6th January 2003 at Academy of Fine Arts and Girish Mancha respectively. The plays were highly acclaimed and were the cause of the instant affinity of the Kolkata audience towards Sansaptak's plays.

In the year 2004, at Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata, the Group performed two solo-productions Sporsho and Janmantor along with a full-length play Bohubrihee and mega-production Macbeth-Macbeth on 24th and 25th January 2004 respectively. We received wide coverage in electronic and print media.
