In the year 2005, shows of Upashalya, Hanyaman (a new interpretation of the original by the young brigade) and Sansaptak's most promising play Atmadaho were performed on 3rd and 4th December 2005 respectively, at Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata. Prominent writer of Kolkata, Sh. Shamik Bandhapadhaya, witnessed our mega-production Upashalya as our Chief Guest of Honour on 3rd December 2005. All the three plays bagged high applause from the audience as well as from media. The group was also invited by Sohan Theatre Group to perform Atmadaho in their annual festival at Bijon Theatre, Kolkata on 5th December 2005.
In the year 2006, the prized possession, Devanampiya, was performed at Bijon Theatre on 29th December 2006. Sansaptak was also invited by Aneek Theatre Group to participate in the Ganga-Jamuna International Theatre Festival 2006-07 under the sponsorship of the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre with the play Devanampiya, which was performed on 30th December 2006 at E.Z.C.C. (Purbashree) Auditorium and Madhushudhan Mancha on 31st December 2006. Yet again the play was a grand success.
For the fifth consecutive year, Sansaptak was proud to host a festival of two plays, namely Bohubrihee and Anik on 8th and 9th December 2007 respectively, at Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata. Two shows of each play were performed as Matinee and evening shows. Anik was performed for the first time in Kolkata, whereas Bohubrihee was performed the second time, but with a newer perception in both design and direction by Torit Mitra altogether. Both the plays were an instant success, as the audience showered us with appreciations.
