Hand types

There are different systems that classify hands into distinct categories. I use "six hand types" system, which was introduced by Cheiro - famous Victorian palmist. Look at your hand and find your type.

Elementary hand Elementary hands are stiff and hard to the touch. They feel heavy and thick in their consistancy Palm tends to be broad and squarish Fingers are short and stubby Elementary hands contain only a few basic lines. Elementary type people are often realistic, grounded in three-dimension reality, and have ability to function well in the material world. Usually these people prefer stable and predictable work environment with few surprises. Careers in agriculture, mining, work with heavy machinery, and similar activities are popular.
Square hand Squarish type, with palm and fingers approximately the same length Fingertips often squarish in form Square nails, slightly longer than wide Square type people love order, method, and stability. Common sense rules their emotions, and they have a steady, systematic approach to life. These people often have difficulty adapting to new circumstances and situations. They are often thourough, competent, and careful with money.
Spatulate hand Hands are often broad and strong, with slightly knotted fingers Fingertips fan out in the form of a spatula. The fingertip is often wider than the first phalange (the section at the base of the finger) Broad nails are common Spatulate type people are often original and inventive, and are known for their restless and exploring personality. The best word to describe this hand is 'action'. People of this type are energetic, tenacious, innovative. They are curious about new ideas and unusual experiences, practical and grounded to day-to-day reality.
Conic hand Conic hands tend to be slightly tapered at the base of the palm and at the tips of the fingers. The skin texture is usually fine, denoting sensitivity and a love of beauty. Flexible thumbs and fingers. Usually they have a great number of fine lines in addition to the major four lines Conic type people are emotional, intuitive, and changeable. They are governed by impulse and first impressions.These people are very sentimental. They are very creative and tend to support the efforts of others.

Mixed hand Very few hands actually conform to any of the previous hand types in their pure form. Usually one type dominates. The mixed hands contain aspects found in one or more of the previous hand types. The hand may be primarily squarish, yet one or two fingers may be spatulate. So you need to take all factors into account when studying hand.
