FAO: Frequently Accused Of Even though our time has been short at this page, we’ve already been accused of a few things that people have misunderstood. Right now, this list grew to unreasonable proportions. @_@ So much for hoping. --;; SME is a Sailor Moon Site. No, we are NOT a Sailor Moon site. Our site is NOT affiliated (correction from Seiji) with Sailor Moon. However, two of us (Cherry-o and Buni) greatly love the Sailor Moon anime/manga and are avid Sailor Moon fanfic readers. This explains the reason why there are *many* Sailor Moon fanfic related reviews. SME is a *bad fanfiction review site*. About the current layout: This did have to do with the topic at one time. Now it is a Candy Land layout. However, all the older reviews still have the old background and Comic Sans font. =P “YOU blah blah blah” “You all” would be more correct. Currently, there are seven reviewers- not all of us submitting reviews at the time, but constantly working on the site or related to the site. We are always looking for new reviewers. If you’re going to single us out, use our names or we’ll all respond. =P Actually, we may all respond anyway. ATTENTION- As of 1/26/02, SME now has seven reviewers. Please do not e-mail us asking to become a reviewer. Do not have a right to have a site like this. Screw rights! We’ve all seen tons of *very* popular sites take opinion articles of, so called, “lesser” others and rip them to shreds. And *no one* has gotten on their case. Just because our site is new or isn't highly pupular doesn’t mean a damn thing. Also, a story is a lot different then an opinion article. If you post your story on the net you have put it up for all to see. You can *not* stop people from reading it, you can *not* make people read it, you can *not* decided who can review, and you can *not* decided what kind of reviews you should get. If you’re not ready to handle the truth then don’t put your fanfics on the net. There are many other sites whose purpose is the same as ours. We're trying to help you (actually, a few of us really don't give a damn about the author anymore). It's not like we get a kick out of ruining people's dreams of being a writer. If it sucks, it sucks, you'll just have to deal with it. It's not like any of you are disagreeing that these fics are bad or need work. If anything, take our reviews to heart and re-write your fanfic. If you want, send us a link to your improved fanfic and we’ll either: A. Write a new review, or B. Take down the old review You don't need to re-write it to please *us*, but if you want to please readers, well, we ARE readers. Plus, writing is a form of entertainment. Do you honestly think that movie reviewers or book reviewers ask the writer or director if they can review them? We shouldn't have to *ask* permission to review a source of entertainment just like a person doesn't have to *ask* Britney Spears if they can do an anti page on her. Did any reviewers ask Steven Spielburg if they could review his movies? Did Christopher Rice ASK for any of the reviews he got? In short -- welcome to the entertainment business. Legalities *Ahem* Saru's mother works for a lawyer, hence, knows the law system fairly well. When Saru asked about any legal action that could be taken on this site, she said that as long as we link the page, nothing can be done. However, if an author demands we take their review down, we must do that. (Which we probably would anyway). So far, no one has really DEMANDED we do anything. Come on people, we're teenaged girls that are bored and tired of stupid fics. It's not like we're putting up nude photos of you. We're reviewing your fics! It's just a bigger version of the ff.net review system. So if you wanna sue someone, sue ff.net. Ha. You all think you are perfect writers! Yes...we think we're perfect writers because you know exactly how we think. Too serious! I wasn't aware that babbling about Heero or Michirelley makes us serious. The only thing we're serious about is about publicized bad fics and how they should cease to exsist. *beams bad fics with a Holy Orange* Credit goes to: http://ficbitches.pitas.com/ Although we had been planing to make a fanfiction review site for some time, it is SLAP that made us decided to act out our plans. So we’d like to give them credit for site. SME is a copy of Ficbitches. SME is *not* a copy of ficbitches- it wasn't ment to be anyway. Of course there is going to be some simularities because *all* bad fanfiction review sites are alike. This topic didn't come up until recently when we visted other sites. Blarg, I guess this is what you get for crediting a site for their idea. Well, I say all Magic Knight Rayearth pages are copies of which ever one came out first. HAHA! --;; Your site is shitty, etc... Go ahead, say anything you want about oursite. However, we'd like it if you'd also send it to us, especially if we have made a mistake. We are all aware that nobody is perfect and yes we *do* make mistakes. Does that mean we should stop reviewing because we make mistakes and criticize those who do? Do you see us spelling "enough" as "anoffe"? x.o Your layout sucks/hurts my eyes! We thought that was the point. o.o |
