Description of the services and costs

Standard to all drawings

  • Standard views, plan, elevation, sections, joint details
  • Core type, wood or laminate type
  • Hardware types and positions 
  • Joint types to meet certain associations guide lines
  • Text notes as description or pointing out unresolved issues.
Doors and frames, Panels, Moldings, Baseboard, etc.

  • structural fasting systems

For Commercial and Standard Architectural Millwork, primarily what we do is regeneration of existing details supplied by architects, providing they are of good quality.
This can be done using stock details, scanning and alteration of existing drawings to meet your shops manufacturing requirements. Should the print or details be of poor quality new drawings will be done. For panel walls new drawings are always done for panel size accuracy.

Maximum cost is 2.5% to 3.5% of job less installation to generate shops drawings 

Example: for commercial work at a cost of $100,000 not including installation your cost would be $2,500 to $3,500 (Canadian funds) or $1,625 to $2,275 US. depending on the rate of exchange

For Custom Work
As this work is so broad based an hourly rate is usually applied and considered to be part of a design fee. Rate is $32.00 per hour (Canadian) or $21.00 (US.) depending on rate of exchange. An estimate of costs will be done before any work is started.

Note: the better the information you supply the cheaper the cost.

Kitchens

We do not usually get involved with type of work because most K&B outlets have their own design team and software designed for their needs. However we do supply drawings for those items that some of these company's encounter and are not equipped to handle. 

File Transfer and printing

  • Printing in 8 1/2 by 11, or 11 by 17 format
  • Print transfer for 8 1/2 by 11 mail, courier, or fax, for 11 by 17 mail or courier 
  • Electronic transfer in any format via e-mail
