Awareness Presentation Team (APT) - Cadets on the APT promote audience awareness of the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco, and may include problems with peer pressure, teenage pregnancy, dropping out of school, etc., using methods such as discussions, skits and drill demonstrations. Selection for the APT will result in permission to wear the APT Badge.

Color Guard Team - The Color guard cadets present, posts, and retires the colors at specified events. The color guard may also raise and lower the United States flag at school and community functions.  Participating in color guard can lead to the Color Guard Ribbon and may lead to other ribbons.  Cadets must (at least initially) be a member of the Drill Team in order to be Color Guard certified. Members wear a distinctive cord with their uniform.

Drill Team - Cadets polish the basic skills learned in the classroom.  Cadets will perform in parades and drill meets using armed (drill rifles) or unarmed drill procedures.  Participation can lead to the Drill Team ribbon and may lead to other ribbons.  Members in good standing of the Drill Team receive advanced rank due to the many after school hours devoted to this important and demanding team. Members wear a distinctive cord with their uniform.

Kitty Hawk Air Society (KHAS) - Cadets may be invited to join an Air Force JROTC national honor society which promotes service to the school and the local community.  Also, unit members may help cadets to obtain academic assistance if required through coordination with other academic clubs.  Membership is limited to AFJROTC cadets who have met the high academic standards and other criteria of the chapter by-laws.  To remain in good standing, the cadet must maintain the criteria spelled out in the organization charter.  Upon completion of all requirements, members are issued a distinctive badge and cord to wear with their uniform.

Model Rocketry Club -  Cadets who wish to gain additional hands-on experience with model rockets and gliders may join the Model Rocket Club.  After completing program requirements, cadets are authorized to wear the Model Rocketry Badge.  Rules and criteria for Model Rocket Club operations are contained in the Unit Instruction's Binder.
