"The Knights Next Door" is a great new book about the SCA from iUniverse, Inc.

As marshal of the Crown Province of Ostgardr, I have heard many new fighters ask "What sort of armor should I wear?" Well, beyond fulfilling the armor standards of the SCA, you can basically go with whatever design or aesthetics you like. Since the name of this game is to recreate a medieval culture, wearing armor that looks medieval can go a long way towards playing that game.

With this in mind, I have decided to present illustrations of various typs of armor that was worn throughout the SCA period (Approximately from the fall of Rome to the English Civil War).

These illustrations will be forthcoming soon.

In the meantime, I am compiling a list of books and videos on medieval armor that you can order from Amazon.com. Some of these books and videos are by SCAdians!
