Australian Volunteer Coast Guard & Marine Rescue monitor the following frequencies:
HF: 2032, 2182, 2524, 4125, 4620, 6215, and 27.860MHz
Coast Guard Melbourne, is located in Sandringham. They use VHF 154.575MHz & there is an UHF link, which is on 450.900 & 460.400MHz. The VHF transceiver is located at Aurthur's Seat, which allows the Coast Guard Melbourne to cover the whole of the bay.
Melbourne Radio (VIM) also conducts highseas and local weather reports on: VHF Marine channel 67 - 156.375MHz. As well as safety calling.
**Confirmed** The Victoria Channels Authority has been heard using VHF Marine channel 12 - 156.600MHz (Simplex) to communicate with ships, while arranging the boarding of a Pilot - to get the ships through the "Rip".
We have been able to get our hands on a list of frequencies used by the Victorian Channels Authority, these repeaters are located on the Point Lonsdale Light House. The frequencies are: 156.375, 156.600, 156.650, 156.700, 156.800, 451.175, 460.675 & 471.525,
27MHz Marine - Emergency channels - 27.880MHz & 27.860MHz
