Max & Sidney
Nick & Rudy are very please to introduce their very first guests here at Schnauzer Lane,
what else would they be but a pair of schnauzers! Well with no further adue below are
Max and Sidney making their internet debut and tell their schnauzer tales.
This is Max (on the right with the ear crop) and Sidney
(uncropped ears), two very special salt & pepper minature schnauzers. This
picture was taken in February '96 -- hence the long shaggy hair. They
live in Carbondale, Illinois. Max was born on a horse farm on Mother's Day,
1995 and Sidney was born in July of the same year. At the present time,
Max's favorite activity is guarding the yard from any and all birds. He
just finished a beginning obedience class in April and has began working
on Canine Good Citizenship. Sidney likes to take a quick
dip in the family pool on hot summer days, while Max has yet to acquire his water wings.
She's her mama's lap dog, loves being carried around and going
places...she only weighs 12 lbs. so she's the perfect travel size
(not that 18 lbs Max doesn't go along for the ride too).
They both LOVE Three Dogs Bakery stuff and hope to someday go on
a road trip to visit the bakery in Missouri.
Max and Sidney seems to be the quite the prankers too... Their mama had bought
some of those cheap plastic waterguns and was using them to teach the pups
"No, quiet" because they had been suffering from a bit of the "yippy yappy" syndrome,
a common disorder among schnauzers. Anyway waterguns usually work great, a quick squirt
in the face quiets any schnauz. Well with these guys it worked for awhile,
until one of them (and the guilty one hasn't fussed up) decided he (excuse me, or she)
would bite a hole in it so it won't hold water thus disabling their mama' s defense mechanism. Their mama out smarted them though she had 3 more water guns in stock.
p.s. Max & Sidney wanted to tell you their cousin Tee Jay is making his internet debut too.
