Asturias
is a region situated on the north of Spain. In this region there is a town
called Gijón where we live. It has more o less 275.000 inhabitants. The climate
is warm, with an average temperature of 15º.
Many years ago Gijón was an important industrial city but nowadays the tourism
is one of the main resources.
Our city has got a lot of beautiful and cultural places to visit: Roman Thermal
Baths, the Aquarium, the Barjola’s Museum (A famous Asturian painter), the
Botanic Garden, the Museum of the Bagpipes.
If you come here you can taste delicious dishes like “fabada” (beans with
sausages) and desserts like”arroz con leche” (rice with milk). You can also walk
along the famous San Lorenzo beach crowded of people in summer.
