School No. 191, Bucharest, Romania

Built in 1965 our school is for both boys and girls aged 7 to 15. It has about 420 pupils in 21 classrooms and 28 teachers who are well-qualified and very committed to their job.

Every year both the pupils and the teachers in our school do their best in order to get good results at the contests organized at different school subjects.

So far, thanks to our committed teachers we have won a lot of prizes.

Last year our online collaborative project KMIKY or Knowing Me Is Knowing You (coordinated by Andreea Silter, our teacher of English) was awarded The Promethean Award for Whole Class Teaching in the eLearning Awards 2006. She was invited to participate in the prize giving ceremony that was held in Bruges, Belgium on 7th December 2006.

All these achievements have brought us a very good reputation among the schools in Bucharest. Moreover, we regularly take part in charity activities such as gathering clothes and toys for the poor children or visiting old and sick people.

Since 2003 we have been working on different web-based projects together with our European counterparts. Thanks to them we have learnt so many interesting things about our own culture and the culture of other European countries.
