SCOTTISH NATIONAL STANDARD BEARER: Peter Dow

Scottish Elections 1st May 2003

Results and immediate humiliation of results

Parties and number of Members of the Scottish Parliament - Labour (50), Nationalist (27), Conservative (18), Liberal Democrat (17), Green (7), Socialist (6), Other (4). Caution: the names of the parties are often misleading. MSPs often support actions which are opposed to their party's nominal philosophy. From the majority of MSPs, inadequacy, hypocrisy and lies are the norm whereas only a minority of MSPs could objectively deliver a policy aim.

After the pride of the Scots' votes came the humiliation of the Scots' elected representatives. Click for a high resolution photograph of MSPs

MSPs effectively disclaimed their party and programme formally by being forced to swear or to affirm allegiance to Queen Elizabeth and her brats. So all the votes of the Scots are to be cast aside and reduced to nothing where any good policies imply, as they often do, that the state should abandon its royalist, fascist and incompetent nature in order to facilitate policy delivery.

The braver ones put up a token show of defiance, making the declaration of allegiance under protest and correctly supporting the sovereignty of the people.
However, most of the Scottish (nominally) "Nationalist" Party MSPs (mostly, "Traitor MSPs") weren't really protesting. Most of the SNP MSPs respectfully received the Queen when she addressed the last parliament on 2 occasions and the new parliament on 3rd June 2003. Hypocrites!

Thankfully, 19 honourable MSPs did not attend the Queen's address and they therefore avoided giving the appearance of disregarding the sovereignty of the Scottish people.
