Who is Gillian Anderson?

I suppose I could say many things to answer that question, but seeing as I do not know her personally all I can say is a collection of observations.

To me, Gillian Anderson is an image of strength, charity, and grace. From her forward to the Girl Boss book, to her speech about freedom of love at the Gay and Lesbian centers, the Buskaid project, NF Inc, and so much more, Gillian has proved herself to be a noble and passionate human being. I am constantly amazed and inspired by her.

Now, having said that I must emphasize that I do not know Gillian Anderson. I wish I could sit down and have a chat with her about life, love, dreams and the arts...but as yet this has not happened (and I don't know that it ever will). The only things I share with her are an address in Vancouver, BC, Canada and a passion for music, charity, and spirituality.

If you want to know about where she came from and what she's done, there are many books out there. I don't believe that it is necessary for me to re-write what has already been written. The purpose of this page and this particular section is NOT to tell you the gritty details of her life, but to bow our hats in recognition of an incredible woman who said recently that her "life is about charity," not acting.

I hope that with this section we can explore some of Gillian Anderson's words, learn about her charities and help with them if we can, as well as to understand that she herself is not the focus. We all are. She is an inspiration, a struggling human being like all of us who has overcome obstacles and is probably continuing to do so every day. So, let's talk about Gillian Anderson, and let's talk about life!
