| Congratulations are in order to David Cavers for having won his second Hall of Fame award, with one of his recent SCURK Creations. I will check with David to find furthor details about this image. Dave has been one of the busiest of all SCURK Artists in the last few months. He has been producing many of the best Scurk images during that time, and it is good that the Hall of Fame voters have taken notice of their quality.
I will let David's own words, descibe this Months Hall of Fame winner. The win may have been a surprise to David, but a lot of the voters gave it their support. Do I see the thinking of a true artist here? David said..."Fantastic! I must say I'm completely surprised that one won. I can't give you a lot of information on this one. Once again it started out as a hotel from a dream, once again a failure. I combined that with working on figuring out the Royal York Hotel in Toronto, something I still have to get worked out (every time I pass it I see it a little differently, just noticed today that it isn't symmetrical- I'm sure everyone thinks I'm a tourist) and went for a composite of old Canadian resort hotel types, a touch of Frontenac here, Lake Louise there, and a dash of Laurier - doesn't look a bit like any of them, but has the same, as the Quebecois say, I don't know what. So I call it the : "Shall we ski darling, or dance? Hotel". Audrey Hepburn haunts its halls."
