In
this photo from the rear center are seven tin type photographs
from 1880 to 1896. Right rear are two daguerreotypes large original
frame from 1855, smaller case type is Samuel Hewes great nephew
of Joseph Hewes (one of the four men who drafted the Declaration
of Independence, and one of the first four to actually sign it).
Far left is a hand painted portrait miniature of Rose Peppel,
1890, to her right is her son George, 1896. Up front are four
cabinet cards of George. The book is titled Elements of Lettering
from 1885, was a school primer. |
