Health & Fitness Website Content Guidelines

Text Based Content

The text content has to be simple and straight forward to follow the energetic theme of the site. A CSS document should be created to define the font of the main text, the Headings, Subheadings and links. The font should be uniform throughout the whole website - Font suggestion: Arial.
The fore colour of the text should change from main text to headings and from the Fitness section to the Health section.

Multimedia Based Content

The photos, if any, should all be with the same proportions. The graphics should follow the overall colour scheme.

Multimedia Balance

The mix between multimedia and text based content has to be well composed. Accessibility needs have to be evaluated, graphics should have alt tags, and animations shouldn’t be prominent.

Target Audience

To ensure the content conformity to the target audience a survey should be carried out. Also, to suit everyone the site should focus on enhancing accessibility for disabled people.

Protocols

The essential protocols required for this site are:
• Http used to transfer hypertext and related files between the internet.
• SSL to ensure security for password or online payments.
• IP internet protocol used as the basis of the internet.
• TCP/IP , TCP enables two hosts to establish a connection and exchange steams of data.

Server Support

Because the massage clinic requires bookings and will eventually need online payments, the use of VB.Net or PHP scripts should be implemented.


Bandwidth

The files or graphics used to create the site and each individual page should have a maximum size of 20 kb.

Plug-ins

The plug-ins needed for the site are concerning:
- Flash 5, for animations
- Adobe Acrobat Reader, for PDF files
