Jennifer,
also well known as Spooky, is a twenty year old college
sophomore from Abilene, Texas. Says Jeni:
"I
have always wanted to teach, but now that I've matured
and seen what the
education system is like, that urge has grown
into a conviction. Students today aren't
getting the kind
of teacher interaction that is necessary to their development
both as students and as individuals."
Jeni attended high school at John
T. Hoggard High School in Wilmington, North Carolina
and Marble Falls High School in Marble Falls, Texas.
She was the vice-president of the Freshman class
at JTHHS, as well as an active NJROTC member. After
moving to Texas, she conducted the MFHS Varsity Chorale
for two years, as well as serving as its Chaplain, Vice
President, and Historian at various times. She
also participated in the MFHS newspaper, "The Hoofprint,"
for three years as an Editorial writer and the Editor
of the Fine Arts. Jeni tested out of her first
year of college English during high school. She
attended Abilene Christian University after graduating
with honors from MFHS, but later left for financial
reasons. Jeni is now attending Cisco Junior College,
and she and Andrew are engaged to be married this October.
She is majoring in English Education and plans to teach
middle school English and Composition. |
