John A. Harris, preently serves as Comercial Counselor at the American Embassy in México City,
formerly Consul for Commercial Affairs in the Consulate of the United States of America in Monterrey, Mexico.
Has an equal wide range of experience in International Businee, marketing, finance and technology.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering Sciences (Cum Laude) and a Masters in Electrical Engineering at the Brigham Young University. In this master’s proyect he proposed and proved a mathematical theorem on the capacity of aa n-dimensonaltrainable trainable pattern recognition system. He later graduated whit a MBA (whit high tecnology and internatuional business. He started his business career in IBM where he served in the Americas/Far East Operating Division, mainly in International Finance and treasury. In vice–president positions in Bonneville Intrnational he created alliances with major fortune 500 companies and organized a corporation in Canada, as vice-president of Holmes Microsystems he explored to Canada, Italy and Singapore; as vice-president of operations for Caeco, he established subsidiaries in England and Japan, as international vice-president of command Communications he explored into Spain, Italy, Belgium; as President of CMI Communications, he imported from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong and sold to the mass merchandising channels in the U.S.; as consultant for Novell he advised on setting up the subsidiary in México, and as president of the Bernoulli Collection of IOMEGA he han worldwide responsabolity for sales into Universities. |
