Yesterday's meeting went great! We have begun work on an "info pack" of sorts to distribute among students to let them know of their right to contientiously object to killing or harming animals in their education. Thanks to all you guys from Vet Science, Psychology and Biology for sharing your thoughts as students who will be encountering the possibility of harming or killing animals in your education for helping us approach the issue. Together, we can make a difference!
Meeting times will be posted up on the website as well as on the mailing list - click the link to your right.
Our first social night which was held on the 15th of March turned out great. We had great vegan food at the green gourmet, Newtown and went out for a few drinks afterwards. It was great fun with a great bunch of people. Another social night coming up soon. Keep checking back for details. Also, photos of o-week and our first social night will be posted up this weekend.

March, 2002
O-day at UTS and O-week at Sydney Uni have been great! We've had over 80 people sign up for the collective which is great. We welcome everyone to Students for Animal Awareness in 2002 and hope all of you get what you want out of the collective and are able to make a positive, personal contribution to it - no matter how big or small. We will be notifying everyone of our first meeting very soon - sometime in the first two weeks of uni. We will also be holding a social gathering of some sorts over the next few weeks so everyone can get to know eachother! If anyone has ideas for a social gathering - send them here: fulmination@optusnet.com.au. Once again, welcome and we hope you enjoy being a part of Animal Awareness in 2002!
