Dr Mikao Usui

Reiki, pronounced "Ray-kee" is an Ancient Healing Art which is believed to originate from Ancient Tibet some 5000 years ago. Although there are many schools teaching different histories on the re-discoveries of these ancient techniques, it is no doubt that the foundation root lays in the East, especially in Ancient Tibetian Monastry, where Reiki (later named by Dr. Mikao Usui) was once found. There are a 2 well-known systems in the modern Reiki training, known as the `Usui and the Karuna System of Natural Healing' and because of the system's superiority in healing illness, many other unrelated systems claim themselves to be Reiki, causing strings of mixtures and misunderstandings to this superior yet mysterious Healing Art. There are basically 2 known systems of training in the re-discovered Reiki systems, one being the `Usui System of Natural Healing' and the other being `The Karuna System of Natural Healing.'

Usui System of Natural Healing

The Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki, also known as the Usui System of Natural Healing, was re-discover in the 1800's by a Christian Missionary called Dr. Mikao Usui, thereafter named Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki, also known as Japanese Traditional System. Practitioners are certified traditionally and there are 4 degrees in training with highest degree being the Traditional Usui Reiki Master/Teacher. Completion of full training from Traditional Usui System 1st degree towards a Traditional Usui Master/Teacher degree is approximately 3 years. The Traditional Usui System is a complete 4 level System in itself, being an entirely different system from the Tibetian Usui System, which leads to a Karuna Master/Teacher Degree.

Karuna System of Natural Healing

The Karuna Reiki, also known as Karuna System of Natural Healing is a powerful Tibetian system founded by William Lee Rand, the outstanding Reiki Master and founder of the International Center of Reiki Training, USA. It is a re-discovered technique after the Traditional Usui System was found, one can say that it is an improved Usui System, which is more advance, called the Tibetian Usui System which leads to a Karuna Master/Teacher Degree. Practitioners are certified traditionaly and there are 3 degrees in the Karuna training with the highest degree being the Karuna Reiki Master/Teacher. Karuna Master/Teacher have to attain the Tibetian Usui Master/Teacher degree (4 improved levels of Usui Reiki) before they are allowed to to learn Karuna Reiki, completion of full training from a Tibetian Usui ist degree towards a Karuna Master/Teacher degree is approximately 5 years or 7 levels, hence there are not very much Karuna Master/Teacher around.

Both system are capable of powerful holistic healing of body, mind and spirit. These systems are capable of healing powerfully over the distant and had been known to miraculouly cured cancer even at terminal stage, paralysis,kidney and liver diseases, stomachaches, mygraines and is capable of bringing down high fever, etc. Reiki is widely available in American hospitals as complementary holistic healthcare for the chronic and sick people.

Reiki Treatment

Ist Degree: A Reiki treatment is a gentle hands-on healing techniques whereby a Reiki Practitioner transfer universal life energy from the universe to the recipient. This method revitalises life force and balances the energies in the body as the natural healing energy flows in a powerful form through the hands of the practitioner directed from the universe. A Reiki treatment is safe, non-intrusive and non-manipulative. It requires no particular belief system and is effective with all who are open to the energy. There are no substance applied to the body and the recipient remain fully clothed throughout the healing session. During a full reiki treatment, the practitioner directs healing energy to several areas of the head, the upper body (from the neck to the pelvic area) and the back (from the shoulders to the tailbone), while focus is given to the body's major organs, every cells of the body will benefit. In addition to the formal hands positions, Reiki can be applied to any part of the body which has been injured. Reiki works through bandages and casts and can even be transmitted over the distant (second degree). Reiki can relieve pain and acute symptoms quite rapidly while more chronic problems may require more extensive treatment. Length of treatment depends upon the root cause of the problem and the amount of energy needed to revitalise and bring to balance the ailing area of the body. Reiki works in conjunction with medical treatment and complement it further. The experience of Reiki is usually a deep feeling of warmth, well-being and comfort.

2nd Degree: The second degree techniques allows practitioner to direct healing in a non-physical dimension,with the invokation of Traditional Reiki Symbols with Mantras, it is capable of sending the energy through the universe in multiple folds, directing them to the recipient in any part of the world in a much stronger way. This techique heals deeper than the first degree, with capability of mental healing, including habitual correction, addictions, emotional problems and mental disturbances, chakras blockages,relationship difficulties, clearing negative energies etc. The practitioners involving the use of symbols are responsible in maintaining the sacreness of the system and symbols. Respect of these sacred techniques, symbols and mantras contribute to success in healing, though it is not necessary for any particular religious belief system for the patient.

3rd Degree: The third degree can be divided into 2 section of training with one completing the training as a Reiki Master and the other completing training as a Reiki Master/Teacher. The Reiki Master should have received enough training to help chronic illnesses especially cancer, aids, and chronic organ failures if recipients seek treatment on time. This degree had the mysteries and depth of the Reiki healing processes and the Masters had reached a level of dedication and commitment with advance techniques which triggers many reaction in the healing field. The Master/Teacher are able to spread the teaching of this ancient healing art and conduct initiation of all level degrees. Sometimes the Masters can conduct outstanding result in healing after hearing a persons name and his problem, these result can be instantenous, a very special person of the Reiki Family. Not only is the Master/Teacher able to spread teachings of this mysterious Healing Art, he is capable of more advance techiques like the healing attunement and the psychic surgery, achieving a breakthrough for chronic illness like cancer, growth formation, allowing better karmic release work to achieve higher healing capabilities.

Japanese Techniques:

Ancient techniques taught only in Japan, it is re-discovered in the west only these few years. Comprising of simple techniques of 1st and 2nd degree Usui System, capable of achieving extremely fast and powerful healing results in a matter of seconds and minutes mainly through advanced healing meditations. It is not taught in the Traditional Usui System, but only in the Tibetian Usui System in the Karuna lineage.
