The 25-year-old was a £10.5m signing from Juventus four years ago and was voted player of the year by both the Professional Footballers Association and the Football writers this season..

Kahn not heading to The Red Devils
Bayern veto Kahn move to Man United MUNICH, Germany, May 16 (AFP) - Bayern Munich president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has ruled out Germany goalkeeper Oliver Kahn joining English Premiership champions Manchester United. "He's under contract to 2006. And even if we had 15 offers we wouldn't let him go," Rummenigge told the Munich daily Abendzeitung. "Manchester have not even made a bid," he added. Kahn's agent Ludwig Karstens also ruled out a United move. "It's only Mr Ferguson speculating," he said of United manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Kahn, 33, started the speculation himself when he wrote in his column in the Sport Bild weekly it was time to move on. "I have won every challenge here. Maybe a new challenge abroad would be good for me," he said. Manchester United are looking to replace French goalkeeper Fabien Barthezhe and Bayern goalkeeping coach Sepp Maier said this week Borussia Dortmund's Jens Lehmann could be an alternative to Kahn. Kahn, who made his name with Dortmund before joining Bayern in 1994, earns a reported 7.65 million euros (dollars) a year. The keeper, who starred in Germany's run to last year's World Cup final, has recently been in the limelight after separating from his wife and taking up with a 21-year-old girlfriend. He was also caught speeding.

France for the Reds
Liverpool will hold talks with French club Auxerre about a double summer swoop for Djibril Cisse and Jean-Alain Boumsong.
Houllier has promised new arrivals at Anfield after a disappointing season - with Fulham's Steve Finnan and Blackburn winger Damien Duff the other top targets.
France striker Cisse has been in Houllier's sights for 12 months, while Boumsong is regarded as one of France's top defenders.

The Strenght of the future Reds
Liverpool will make Fulham's Steve Finnan their first summer signing in a £4m deal - then launch a £12m transfer battle with Manchester United for Blackburn's Damien Duff.
Boss Gerard Houllier is close to completing a deal for the Republic of Ireland defender, who will play his final game for Fulham at Charlton on Sunday.
Houllier will then turn his attention to signing Duff in what is likely to be a club record £12m deal if it goes through.
Duff may also become a target for Manchester United, but Houllier is determined to add much-needed width to his squad and is understood to have made Blackburn's inspirational left-winger his top target.
Blackburn have admitted in recent weeks that they are virtually resigned to losing Duff, which has re-ignited Liverpool's interest in a player they have tracked for 12 months.
Damien Duff profile BBC Sport understands Finnan's move to Liverpool will be wrapped up shortly after the end of the season as part of Houllier's renewed bid to challenge Manchester United and Arsenal at the Premiership summit.
Steed Malbranque may also join his Fulham team-mate Finnan at Anfield in a £3m deal.

A bye for Barthez
Fabien Barthez is certain to leave Old Trafford at the end of the season, according to reports. Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has lost faith in the Frenchman after a series of poor performances and recently dropped him for the club's crucial Premiership match against Tottenham.
Southampton's Antti Niemi and Czech international keeper Petr Cech are thought to head a list of possible replacements that also includes Chelsea's Carlo Cudicini and Leeds' Paul Robinson.
Blackburn's Brad Friedel and Turkish number one Rustu Recber - available on a free transfer from Fenerbahce - have also reportedly been considered.
Ferguson is said to have been impressed by Niemi since his £2m switch to Saints from Hearts last August, while Cech has caught the eye of the United scouts while playing for Rennes.
Now a full international, the 20-year-old starred in the Czech Republic's victorious U-21 European Championship team this summer with two saves in a penalty shoot-out defeat of France.
Finding an adequate replacement for Peter Schmeichel has proved a huge problem for Ferguson since the Dane moved on eight years ago.
Eight men have kept goal for United since Schmeichel's departure, including Barthez, Raimond van der Gouw, Paul Rachubka, Andy Goram, Roy Carrol, Ricardo, Massimo Taibi, and Mark Bosnich.
Barthez, who has four years left on his contract with the club, has reportedly admitted that his time is up at Old Trafford.
"It seems I am not good enough," he is quoted as saying in The Sun newspaper.
"I don't know what my future is now."

Henry scoop prize
Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has scooped the Professional Football Association's player of the year award.
The Frenchman was chosen ahead of a host of Premiership hot-shots, including last year's winner Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Newcastle midfielder Jermaine Jenas also pipped England's Wayne Rooney to the young player of the year award.
Henry has had an impressive season for Double-chasing Arsenal, scoring a landmark 100th goal for the Gunners back in January.
The 25-year-old has dazzled defenders with his pace and, though he could not carry Arsenal to the last eight of the champions league, his hat-trick against Roma remains one of this season's highlights.

David staying
David Beckham will not be leaving Manchester United, according to his father. Speculation has been rife that the England captain will join Real Madrid for £30m in the summer after being dropped to the substitutes' bench for the Champions League quarter-final against the Spaniards.
It was reported that Beckham had met his agent and wife Victoria following United's exit from Europe on Wednesday evening and demanded a move away from Old Trafford.
Ted Beckham admitted that his 27-year-old son had been "devastated" by his omission, but rubbished claims that he was on the verge of leaving United.
"I don't think he wants to go anywhere. He loves it at United - that's where his heart is," Ted Beckham told the Manchester Evening News.

Campbell miss out
Sol Campbell will miss Arsenal's last three league games and the FA Cup final after the FA rejected an appeal against his red card in the title showdown with Manchester United. Campbell was sent off for elbowing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the 2-2 draw at Highbury.
But he was hoping to have a four-match ban overturned after his case was reviewed by the FA's video advisory panel.
Referee Mark Halsey confirmed he was happy with the decision - and now the FA has ruled the dismissal should be upheld.
Campbell will start his suspension after the game at Bolton on Saturday, and he has no further right of appeal.

Steve Bruce awarded contract
Birmingham manager Steve Bruce is to be rewarded with a new contract after his achievements with the club over the past 18 months. City co-owner and plc chairman David Sullivan confirmed the board would be sitting down with Bruce to discuss a new and improved deal.
Bruce indicated his desire to sign a new five-year contract at the weekend, even though his current one has still more than three years to run.
And he is set to get his wish after leading Blues to promotion last season and with them almost assured of staying up this campaign.
