Rondalla Activities

1986
The group performed a Christmas performance at the Pan Pacific Hotel on 14th and 15th December.

On December 5th, NUS Rondalla, with the NUS Dancers and the Indian Instrumental Ensemble, performed "Music & Movement" at the Victoria Theatre. The colorful production was structured as a variety show to accomodoate the developing groups, and was hoped to become another established annual series of performances. 30th October, the group performed at the International Association of Historians of Asia Dinner which was held at the Raffles Hotel.

On the 5th of October, NUS Rondalla opened at the Eusoff College Open House.

The group performed a Lunchtime performance "Afternoon Siesta Ole!" at the LT 13, NUS on the 1st October 1986. The repertoire had expanded beyond music of which the instruments originated, and included popular tunes such as "Within you will remain" and "Samsui Women".

NUS Rondalla performed the Big Band Jamboree at the SJI Field on the 14th September 1986.

21st June, the group performed at LT 13, NUS for the ACLALS 7th Trinennial Conference which was held from the 16th to the 21st June 1986.

NUS Rondalla performed at the Crystal Ballroom, Hyatt Hotel on the 17th May for a Venetian Masque Ball.
