This system is a real-time, interactive e-auction system within Singapore. The products up for bidding will be rare collectors’ items. Detailed particulars of users and items will be stored in a database and monitored daily by the system administrator. The system will be able to check the authenticity of items and credibility of customer. A calendar view for items will be made available to all users. Users will also be notified of the availability of the items in their areas of interests. The system will be able to handle different kind of payment modes, eg. Visa, MasterCard and Amex.

 

Refined System Specifications

 

 

The system will register a new user, verify the user’s information and check his particulars with the respective banks before adding it into the user database.

 

When a user logs on, the system will verify login and he will be able to update their information upon logging on to the system and the new information will be verified and modified in the database.

 

The system will verify user information and allows the user to bid for an item, which has been verified by the item database. The bid status of the item will be checked by the system and checked against the bid information of the user.

 

Before the Users are allowed to submit new item for auction, they will have to log into the system and be verified by the system. The new item information given by the user will be checked by the administrator and put into the item database.

 

When the auction for the item closes, the system will generate an email to inform bidders of their successful bids. The administrator will then remove the successfully bidded items.

 

After verifying user’s authenticity, a catalogue pertaining to the customers’ interests will be sent all users via email. Users are also allowed to upload items for auction.

 

Once the new items put up for auction by the users have been checked and verified by the administrators, these items will then be added into the items database and put up for auction.

 

If a user decides to remove his item, his particulars have to be verified before given permission by the system to do so. The items requested would then be checked with the database for verification and it will then be removed from the database.
