Use Case Analysis is a technique used to capture business process from the user's perspective.

 

Definitions:

 

Actor : someone or some thing that must interact with the (external) system under development.

 

Use case: a pattern of behavior the system exhibits.

 

 

 

 

In our project:

 

Actors: Users (bidders, auctioneers), Site Administrator and Bank.

 

Use cases: register, view items, bid items, payment, submit interested lists of items, upload items for auction, verify users’ status, notify users of bidding result, maintain database/ website, send catalogue to users’ request, place/remove items on auction, transport liasing.
