On September 11th, 2001 at 8:45a.m. stunned New Yorkers watched a passenger plane fly low over the city and crash into the north tower of the World Trade Center. In the next fifteen minutes a second plane slammed into the south tower spitting out a cloud of burning jet fuel. The south tower managed to withstand the collision only to collapse about one hour later. The north tower followed shortly thereafter. One smashed into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. and another crashed near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in what turns out to be a simultaneous terrorist attack against the U.S.
