| Hiawassee to Plumorchard Gap Shelter. | |
| Beautiful day. A short 5 mile day with some rather steep inclines that continued it seemed forever---goes on like an Eveready battery! Should cross North Carolina - Georgia border line tomorrow. Jay and I will probably stay at Muskrat Shelter tomorrow evening. 4,600 feet, Plumorchard Gap Shelter is fairly new and one of the better built ones. Sleeps 14 and brought in by helicopter. | |
