Taking a zero day and will probably leave Hot Spring
Sunday morning. 281.9 miles from Springer Mt., GA. |
| My husband and I had two
wonderful days in Hot Springs. I didn't arrive there until
Friday Morning. I stopped by the local restaurant for some
breakfast thinking my husband wouldn't be in town until noon -
wrong! John arrived at Hot Springs Thursday night and got a
room at the Alpine Motel. All my hiking friends had seen Si
Thursday evening at the restaurant. Everyone knew they were in
town except me! I had ordered my biscuit and egg sandwich and
started to eat when in walked John. What a wonderful surprise! |
| It was great having two
days of a warm room and a bed, delicious meals that I didn't have to
cook, and a chance to enjoy Hot Springs with my husband, but it had
everything a hiker would want. |

Home of the Hot Springs Trailfest, usually the second
week of April. The A.T. passes through the center of Hot Springs on Bridge
Street, and most services are located on the Trail. |
