Port Clinton to Eckville Shelter.  The trail is on the opposite side of the river that I came in on.  This a wild life bird sanctuary.  That was neat hike and I picked a lot of blackberries going through there.  This lasted for a bout a mile, then I crossed 61 and started up long switch backs up the mountain.  Easy to hike because the switch backs were so long, gave you time to catch your breath, then it would dip and flatten out a little bit before it started going up again.  There were some rock steps that help make your elevation gain fast.
Pulpit Rock was a beautiful view looking into the Pa valley to see the beautiful farms a lot of silos, the fields looked like they were mowed golf courses from above and you could tell were some had oats and wheat cult of them because they had different colors, very patterned looking.  I can understand why they called this called a Pulpit Rock because when you're up there it did look like you're were in a pulpit looking down at your congregation on the other side of the mountain and the congregation was a large strip of boulders the nothing grew in and showed up as just white rocks.  Then there were mountains all around.  It was like the inside of a little cathedral.
Had a bit to eat at a Pocahontas Springs.  Simon and I stopped for a rest near the water where we could re-supply our water bottles.  That's the problem were are having now is the water supply.  Not much water anywhere!
Got to Pinnacle Rock, had to climb a real steep incline going up through there, then got into large boulder hopping, from one big boulder to another.  Pinnacle Rock was just a pinnacle on the mountain where you could look and the same valley I had seen from Pulpit Rock.  After we left Pinnacle Rock we were on a dirt road.  So it was easy hiking for the last 3 miles into Eckville Shelter which is 1,218.1 miles from Springer Mountain GA.  This shelter is a little hostel that could sleep about 6 or 7 people.  Board bunk beds with carpet on top of them.  They has a solar shower, a picnic table out in front and a good water supply.
I've got a couple of blistered spots on top of my shoulders from hiking with the shoulder straps rubbing.  I've been trying to take care of those the last couple days.
