| Hog Camp Gap to Montebello, VA | |
| A rain free, cool day of hiking. Spirit, Si and I were still very tired from the previous nights late arrivals; nevertheless, we were hiking north by 7:46am. A wonderful hike through hardwoods, rocks, roots, weeds and creeks. It was a rather quiet, uneventful day. We stopped for lunch at Seeley-Woodworth Shelter before hiking on the Fish Hatchery Rd., where we would turn off the AT to go to Montebello to pick up a bounce box and spend the night. | |
| Simon is sleeping tonight in a Bed and Breakfast log cabin bunkhouse. What a great change for him from sleeping on the cold, hard ground to a soft carpeted floor! | |
