      Leaving Pinefield Hut about 7:15am
I messed up this a little, but the high light of the day is; This was a smooth trail like a park in the woods easy going.  I had my 10 miles in about 10:30am so I went ahead with 3 miles to go.  On the last 3 miles I met a person, a section hiker, from SC as it comes up and I walked with him for a while.
I hitched a ride from a man who maintains the AT.  His name was Harry.  He offered me a ride to the Elkton Motel.  Went to the food mart and got some dog food and myself a sandwich and a pop. Came back to the motel and the lady was there, no PO box drop.  He ran me back into town to the Post Office and I pick up mail drop and he takes me back to the motel.  He gave me his phone number and was going to see if his wife was going out to eat and invited me to with them.  He even invited me to stay at his home the night.  But I decided I had clothes to wash and stuff to get done and take a rain check.  When I got to the motel I realized that I had forgot Simon's back pack, so I called him and he would bring the back pack in the morning when he was going to take me back.  Then there was a knock on the door and there was Harry with Simon's back.  He though Simon might need it to for his bowl to eat and drink form.  So I thanks him for all his kindness.  Then there was another knock on the door and guess who it was?  Will Peake.  He had picked up Tortuga on Rt33.  He was on his way to his daughters and had read the last entries in the journal and thought he might be able to meet up with me.  Really surprised me!!  Will took us out to Chinese restaurant and bought our meals for the evening, then Tortuga stayed with me and Will go himself a room the next morning after we loaded up everything, he took us down to the little country store and we got a good breakfast before we stated on the trail.
It was about 8:25 when we got started on the trail and Will was going to meet his daughter and come back and pick us up on the Skyline Drive by Friday morning.  It was an uneventful day.  Got into some boulders and rock steps that we has to go down.  We could hear thunder off in the distance and we knew it would rain sometime during the day.  By the afternoon it has become very muggy and hot where the water was just dripping off our brows and legs and elbows.  We made it to the Lewis Mt. Campground
The last 2 day certainly have been crazy, but I guess they were intended to happen.
