What happened last Meeting
28th May 2002
We were happy to welcome back our guest Neville
who had attended the previous meeting. We were even more delighted when
he decided to join our club.
Round
Robin
Bing asked,
Why did you join Toastmasters and what has it done for you? Most
reasons for joining were a desire to do some thing about the fear of speaking
in front of a group of people, some joined to gain communication skills
in their job, several said it was to overcome shyness, One of the men joined
when the club's were for men only "for a blokey night out," another one
joined because he believed in Dean Martin's adage "wine, women and waste"
but he didn't say which category Toastmasters came under. Everyone agreed
that they had gained confidence and had found fun and friendship in the
club.
Book

Lenore reviewed the book, "Trapped in Silence." It is an inspiring
autobiography by Bradley Harris Wolf, who has suffered from cerebal palsy
since early childhood.

If you were the eight dwarf, what would they name you?'"

sins. What would an eighth sin be?"
