This section of my web page is about Boca Juniors, the best team of the world.

A Little Bit of History:

To found a soccer club with a trade name in the way of a sport institution was, at the beginning of century, something that was fashionable in colonial Buenos Aires. Here soccer was a rage. "The game of the crazy English" had already settled definitively in the heart of Creole youth. The sailors of the British boats in the Port of Buenos Aires were not the only ones who practiced it. The first soccer club of Argentina had already founded: Buenos Aires Football Club (9 of May of 1867) and the day of the first game in the field of the Buenos Aires Cricket Club, was in everyone's memory. The Association Argentine Football League had already been based and several championships had been disputed (1° was in 1891). The Alumni team had already gained titles and fame. The foundation of clubs was the recent fashion. Thus many teams arose, but only some of them acquired importance and greatness over the years making soccer what it is today in Argentina: A Passion of Multitudes.

Boca Juniors is the team with the biggest quantity of fans of Argentina. During its history, Boca Juniors won 26 local championships and 9 international competitions, including 3 Libertadores Cup and 2 Intercontinental Cup.

This game is played by the champion of the Libertadores Cup and the champion of the UEFA Cup. In this case the rival to beat was Real Madrid, one of the best teams of Spain. The game started, and after 5 minutes, Boca Juniors was winning 2-0. The unstoppable Martin Palermo scored for the first time at the 2nd minute and for the second time at the 5th minute, and sealed Real Madrid's destiny. Even though brazilian defender Roberto Carlos scored at the 11th minute, Real Madrid couldn't revert the result and lost the game.
