-Presentation: George Pastirik of Science Is will be presenting to our students to show them what materials may be used and how to use them in the construction of their model cars for the upcoming 5th Annual Grade 5 Model Car Rally.

Art

-We are learning our first art techniques, the use of fonts, misting and wet-on-wet painting by applying these techniques to our daily work assignments in order to embellish them in preparation for grade 6 achievement and to present our work in a prideful manner.

-“My Initials Pri-Sec” Project (Painting: students plan their 2 initials according to a rubric, using bubble letters that overlap…they choose two primary colours and use the appropriate secondary colour wherever the letters overlap)

Wednesday: 1) Math: MQ134 #1-20  2) We have a special presenter coming in tomorrow afternoon to explain to us how to build our model cars for the upcoming car rally.  3) My report card is coming home this Friday.
Thursday: 1) Math: MQ135 #1-17  2) We have library tomorrow.  3) Let me tell you about Mr. Pastirik, the man who presented the building of a model car to us in science class.  *My journal is due tomorrow morning. 
Friday: 1) Math: MQ137 #1-23  2) There is finally a new P.O.T.W. for next week!  3) Check out what I purchased at the S.T.O.R.E. this afternoon!  *I am quite late in submitting my field trip form to Mrs. Sparrow.
