-Punctuation, spelling and capitals will be our focus through the use of our agendas (accuracy in copying messages that model good writing form) and we will also pursue this worthy self-editing goal soon in our personal dictionary/spellers. -P.A.R.I.S. -Novel Study: Hatchet by
Gary Paulsen. We will review
chapter 4 by summarizing it in writing.
We will then read chapter 5 out loud before summarizing the events and
important points in writing. |

-Song: Au Carnaval + vocabulary (Bonhomme, bougies, Carnaval, défilé, dix, duché, duchesse, festival, fête, février, palais, reine, sculpture) -We are preparing to sing in next week’s assembly by memorizing the chorus and verse 2 of Au Carnaval. -French is taught using the four modes/skills of learning. This means that all students have the opportunity to learn through listening, speaking, reading and writing. |

study, Hatchet. 4) My class
has brought in thirteen food items so far for our school’s food drive.
Tuesday: 1) Math: MQ174, 175 all 2) Science: I have been assigned a
LifeSavers experiment that is due Tuesday at the beginning of class. 3) I still need to memorize verse two
of Étienne’s Au Carnaval song for the assembly next Tuesday
morning. 4) We have now collected
twenty-six food items so far for our school’s food drive.
Wednesday: 1) Math:
MQ176, 177 all; both sides of new photocopy 2) I am to memorize the chorus and first two verses of
Étienne’s Au Carnaval for Tuesday’s assembly. 3) There is no school until next Tuesday due to the
Teachers’ Convention and Family Day.
4) Tuesday is ‘Wear A Toque’ day.

are still collecting food items for our school’s food drive.
