-Punctuation, spelling and capitals will be our focus through the use of our agendas (accuracy in copying messages that model good writing form) and we will also pursue this worthy self-editing goal soon in our personal dictionary/spellers. -P.A.R.I.S. -Novel Study: Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. We will review chapter 8 by summarizing and discussing 6 key events. We will then read chapter 9 out loud before engaging in a study of adverbs. Both quiet reading and oral reading and conversation will characterize our study and use of chapters 10-13. -School House Rocks! DVD

Tuesday: 1) Math: I write the unit test
tomorrow. 2) Science: I received
my LifeSavers activity from Mr. Myers today. Check out my marks.
3) We welcome Jarod into our class. 4) In language arts we are creating our own titles for
chapters nine through eleven of Hatchet.
Wednesday: 1) Math:
I wrote the unit test today and I feel that I performed poorly/well/extremely
well. 2) Please help me to
contribute to this term’s S.T.O.R.E. that will be in three weeks. 3) We had extra time today to work on
our science duotangs prior to our submitting them for evaluation tomorrow.
Thursday: 1) Math: Check out the awesome
results of my math test! 2) We
have library tomorrow. 3) I am
coming home with a correspondence from the school.
Friday: 1) Math: We used today to complete
our Solids Mobiles and to begin an art project that uses mathematical
principles. 2) There is a new,
facultative P.O.T.W. for next week.
3) We enjoyed a production by Alberta Opera during an assembly this
morning. 4) Allow me to share my
math workbook evaluation with you.
