Virtual Library Graphic: At the top, you'll see a graphic that tells you that you are in the SGU Virtual Library.
Page Locator Line: Next comes a line that is similar to the ones in search engines such as Yahoo!. It shows you what page you are on and where the page is located in the Virtual Library. The Page Locator Line for the sample page tells you that you are in the "Getting Around (Stop 1 of 5)" page of the Tour section of the SGU Virtual Library. You can click on the Tour link to get back to the Tour home page or you can click on the SGU Virtual Library link to get back to the SGU Virtual Library home page.
Page Content: After the title you'll see the page's information.
At the end of every page are: a Separator Graphic, a Navigation Bar with links to several other important pages in the Virtual Library, the Web Address of the page you are on, the Date the page was last updated, a Contact link for emailing the Virtual Librarian, and the Copyright information. If you look at the bottom of the sample page, you will see these items.
You can use the Navigation Bar to get to the Search and Help sections of the Virtual Library directly or just go to the Virtual Library home page if you get lost.
Note that the Help section is available from every page. We'll talk more about that later in the tour.
That's an overview of what the pages look like, how you can figure out where you are, and how to get where you want to go. Now we'll move on to the types of information you can find in the Virtual Library.
