I'm not quite sure what to say here. These are links. Go surfing. Am I missing something important? Tell me. Do you want your site listed here? Tell me. Go on, I dare you ...

    Programming

    GameDev

Whilst recently been experiencing slight trouble with moving to their own server, GameDev.net is still the best conglomerated resource for gamers. Its most attractive feature is undoubtedly its message boards, which have over 12,500 members!

    Flipcode

Probably GameDev's biggest rival, Flipcode is also an excellent source for game developers, although to date, their forums are not as established or good as GameDev's are. It does feature a lot of articles and general news snippets, and is famous for it's Image of the Day.

    Gamasutra

Gamasutra is the third in the trilogy of the Game Developer giants. Whilst its articles are tended towards the more professional developer, it still holds many resources that even an amatuer will find useful. It also has one of the best employment nets on the web for game programmers and designers.

    NeHe Productions

Your one stop shop for OpenGL tutorials, NeHe has 30 (and counting) tutorials from setting up a window right through to loading models and walking round 3D worlds. Almost all tutorials have conversions in C++, Delphi, ASM and the various compilers thereof.

    CFXweb

Your one stop source to the PC demo scene, CFXweb has links, articles, reviews and source for everything you need demo wise. You'd be insane not to check this site regularly.

    Orange Juice

Orange Juice is the original demoscene-related portal. Its goal is to be an exhaustive information center about all the activities related to the demoscene. Orange Juice is also called OJ or OJuice. It was first published on the Internet the 5th of April 1997. And it has a funky-looking site.

    Programmer's Heaven

This site has been around a long time, and it shows. Source code, tutorials and articles for every language you can think of, and then some, it also has tools, reviews, news and a whole bunch of other stuff which you need to go and see for yourself.

    Code Project

A recent find of mine, and I therefore assume a recent creation, Code Project has a tonne of C++ tutorials, almost all with full source, and features everything from MFC & Internet apps to DirectX & OpenGL.

    Delphi 3000

If you're a Delphi person, you really should know about this place. It has daily articles, reviews and chats on pretty much every topic you could need.

    GalaxyQuest

GalaxyQuest is a fellow member of GameDev, and recent Tiberian immigrant, who has quite an ecelectic approach to many existing genres. While not a must-see site, you could definitely do a lot worse than take a quick look.

    Nazrix

Nazrix is cool. So is the RPG he is developing using the Nebula Engine. Go check it out.

    Graphics

    Elfwood

Elfwood is the largest Science Fiction & Fantasy art and fiction site in the world. It has over 125,000 original Science Fiction & Fantasy pictures, and 10,000 stories online. Words cannot describe Elfwood ... you have to see it for yourself ...

    Phong

"Tutorials for bustin' mad imagery" -- phong.com is a very cool (in both content and design) site chock full of graphics tips & tutorials. If you want to learn how to make Photoshop sit up and beg (plus many more neat tricks), check it out.

    Viscosity

Listed out of interest due to the tutorials on making textures in Photoshop ... check out the Ice ...

    Music

I was going to put http://music.lycos.com/downloads/ here, but it hasn't been turning up much recently. So, if you have a good site you think should be listed here, email me.

    Other

    Google

Undoubtledly the best search engine on the web, Google is the choice if you want a fast, ad free search engine. And nothing else. Originally conceived as an MIT project, Google is now one of the best linked engines available. And only one hundredth as cluttered as Yahoo!

    Sinfest

Irreverent, dirty, sick and absolutely hilarious. Sinfest is a daily comic strip featuring a pimp, a zealot, a slut, a nerd, God, the Devil and the Eternal Dragon. Oh, and a talking pig. You have to see this, I've never laughed so hard in my life.
