The Final Conflict was a voting style play by mail game that was set up and run by a computer magazine called Personal Computer Games in the early 80s. It was a game of Global Domination set on a land mass called Helix with the simple goal of controlling over half of the countries by invading them with your armies or launching missile attacks. The results of each turn were printed in the following months magazine but unfortunately it suffered a short lifespan as the magazine folded a few months after starting the game. I don't know if anybody kept the rights to the game or if it carried on in any form after the closure of PCG but I am running a free version of the game here.
