- "This is a simple morality tale," Carter says now, "in that people who are the perpetrators of evil deeds are caught and punished for them. They are clear;y bad peopls and we have good people chasing them. People who provide us with hope."
- Carter has focused on fear, paranoia, and pure evil. "My feelings of life, and this is a rather grim outlook, is that everything gets worse," says Carter. Still, he insists the heart and soul of the show is more hopeful. "This isn't a seriel-killer-of-the-week show.
